Register for Preaching and the Human Condition with Dr. O. Wesley Allen

Preachers struggle with how to acknowledge the bad news of a corrupt world while proclaiming the good news that will eventually prevail against it. Based on his book by the same name, Dr. Wes Allen will help participants explore how to broaden the dimensions of the human condition addressed in sermons to more fully engage the lives and world of their hearers. Participants will examine the vertical, horizontal, and inner dimensions of sin, learn to identify these within biblical texts, and develop strategies for focusing sermons while addressing the full scope of the human condition over time. This course will equip preachers to proclaim how God’s good news addresses the human condition, and to preach genuine Christian hope amid the realities of human striving and suffering.
