Must Reads Classics (Special Edition) with Dr. Alyce McKenzie

For this month’s Must Reads, instead of interviewing an author about their recent book, this month, Dr. Wes Allen interviewed Dr. Alyce McKenzie about her writings through the years. They discuss Dr. McKenzie’s early writings on Wisdom literature and her shift in focus toward creativity and storytelling in preaching.

Dr. Alyce McKenzie is the Le Van Professor of Preaching and Worship at Perkins School of Theology. She has garnered many distinctions throughout her career, including the Altshuler Distinguished Teaching Professor Award, SMU's highest teaching honor; an honorary doctorate from the Aquinas Institute; and the Academy of Homiletics Lifetime Achievement Award. She is the author of eleven books, as well as numerous articles and scholarly chapters.
